No. I need support. I'm just like any other person. Just because I stand strong on my foundation, doesn't mean I want to be all alone.

I'm going on five years. It's taken it's toll.
@SW-User I’m still finding it so hard trying to remember positive memories of her without getting slammed with memories of those awful final days. Gets so painful that at times I just try to direct my mind away from thinking about her at all and I hate that. Of course Mother’s Day coming up on Sunday certainly isn’t helping.
SW-User
@OlderSometimesWiser I completely understand. It's not fair. It was so ugly. And for a Mama who deserved all the love in the world.
@SW-User Absolutely. Big, big hugs to you. I get it, and sadly I know that you do too. 🫂
I have never really felt that I have ever had emotional support but I filled the space with whatever I can get.

Honestly it's a horrible feeling but you still have to move forward.

@LifeIsShort What's your story? :) If I may ask
ElizaJane · 56-60, F
You miss it but yes of course you can survive it. People do amazing things without any support all the time.
I think it's mindset
Casheyane · F
@ElizaJane Is it wisdom? This form of solitude that isn't by choice. Or is there something wrong with us?
ElizaJane · 56-60, F
@Casheyane I think there are just some parts of life you are meant to go through alone. It IS the ultimate freedom, so I embrace that part.
If you are a social person, Your solitude won't last, so be great to yourself and learn what you can while you have the space to think for yourself!
But I also think it's ok to be not very social, which is where I am. I'm just not very good with people and don't kick myself around about it anymore. Llfe is full of lots of other good things.
Best wishes, stay strong!

Most of my battles I have fought alone.
assemblingaknob · 26-30, F
I have survived.

It does drive you insane though.

But it's possible
SophiaPG · 26-30, T
So far I’ve already lasted far too long this way… 😞
CrazyMusicLover · 31-35
It's draining and evidently not okay but you can live like that, I guess, for quite a long time.
Casheyane · F
@CrazyMusicLover How long have you been doing it now, and why if I may ask?
CrazyMusicLover · 31-35
@Casheyane I wouldn't say I'm completely friendless or without emotional support though. I just lack real life connections, going out and face to face conversations with friends. I've been more or less like that since 2020. I met some of my friends now and then but it's usually twice-three times a year. I could really count on one hand how many times I went out with some friend in each of the last 4 years.
iamnikki · 31-35, F
I've been lasting so far...
Casheyane · F
@iamnikki For how long now? I kinda feel...I'm breaking.
iamnikki · 31-35, F
@Casheyane Years. I feel the same way. But I just have to remember that I've survived my worst days, so that means I'll continue to survive, as long as I don't give up. You can inbox if you'd like.

All you need is a dog.
Casheyane · F
@Thevy29 Some people tend to rely on animals. But while it seems cute, animals are not humans. That's fact too.
SW-User
Aye I do

I have been my own hero many times
Casheyane · F
@SW-User Same. Hugs
uncalled4 · 56-60, M
You're better off with no friends than the wrong ones.
uncalled4 · 56-60, M
@Casheyane You have to wade through the BS
Casheyane · F
@uncalled4 That BS is like a freaking maze the size of an entire country.
uncalled4 · 56-60, M
@Casheyane Yes. I'm pretty lucky.
