My poor dad is losing his ability to read 😞

He used to love reading books and could even stand to read foreign language films that were all in subtitles. But as he gets older, he finds himself becoming more dyslexic. It makes me sad to see such basic skills failing him but also that he has to give up a favorite past time of his. Growing up, I’d always see my dad hunched over reading one of his books. He actually got my sister and I into reading game books — The Lone Wolf series by Joe Dever. My mom says she helps him all the time with reading subtitles on the movie or shows they watch by reading them aloud, but now I know to always do the same. It’s especially sad because it’s not like he’s getting dementia or anything, he’s still himself as he’s always been. He’s just lost the ability to read clearly. 😞

Check out Archive.org -- they have thousands of free downloads of audio books and radio/audio plays. I love the old radio shows -- comedies, dramas, mysteries, etc. -- but they have all kinds of things from all over the world.
