My father has been involved in a number of special operations in the fight against criminal gangs and families

He began his career with the Carabinieri in Palermo and was instrumental in confronting and confounding several Mafia activities in the quest of ridding Sicily of its historical scourge.

After several attacks on Carabinieri and officials my father, duly promoted for his operations and successes became the leader of the special operations force in Naples. His ten years there produced a full range of results and he was again promoted.

My father was moved to Rome and the ministry when I was eighteen.
