My mom being her usual self (vent)
I wasn't gonna post this here, cause I genuinely don't care, but it's my 40th bday today.
My mom has been bugging me for months demanding that I throw a party to celebrate. I haven't celebrated my bday voluntarily since I was a kid, and she knows that.
When I've told her "my day, my rules" she replied with "it's my day too since your birth is the reason I became a mom in the first place!"
A couple of days ago she had told my youngest sister how sad she (mom) was about me not wanting to celebrate that she's been a mom for 40 years.... You read that right..
Sis told her "so throw a party of your own to celebrate that"
Mom: "oh, but who should I invite?"
Today she made a post on facebook saying:
Today I celebrate that I've been a mom for 40 years! I've gotten a lot of good memories throughout this time, and I'm hoping for many more!
Happy bday [my name] Love ya
I'm not surprised she's this desperate for attention, but rather how badly she's gotten at hiding it 🤦
