I spent too much time with mom today

To be fair, any time with her is too much, but here are todays highlights


1. She started demanding I throw a big party when I turn 40 later this year. I haven't wanted to celebrate my bday since I became a teenager,and she knows this.
I told her "it's my day so my desicion"
Her response: It's my day too! I birthed you afterall!

2. A local mens choir was warmup for the shanty choir, and mom, being the s**t she is, ofcourse knew more than half the guys. So she kept telling my the life story of each guy even tho I've no idea who they are. And she clearly doesn't know how to whisper.

3. When the all male shanty choir (main attraction) entered the stage, one of the men looked like a butch woman so mom made transphobic jokes. Again; she does not know how to whisper. (She also doesn't know I'm trans)

4. She insisted on filming every single song and story coming from the stage, either blocking my view or demanding I held the camera for her bc I had a better view.
I just wanted to enjoy the show, dang it!



The show itself was amazing, but my memory of it will forever be tainted thanks to her.
