🌱 Message to my friends

Maybe it’s hard for you to believe that I really tried to end my life. You might see me laughing sometimes or talking normally, but the truth is I went through a moment of crushing despair where death seemed like the only way out.

A suicide attempt isn’t just a single act — it leaves deep wounds:

Emotionally: afterwards, a person lives with intense feelings of shame, guilt, a sense of failure for even surviving, hopelessness, and constant exhaustion. Every minute feels unbearably heavy.

Financially: sometimes there’s a need for medication, therapy sessions, or other help — which can be expensive and hard to manage alone, especially when you’re already emotionally fragile.

I’m not sharing this for pity, but to help you understand that your presence and support mean the world to me. Your help can be the difference between trying again or finding a small ray of hope to keep going.

Please help me get through this crisis: with a kind word, by listening without judging, by making me feel like someone truly cares. Even if you don’t know what to say, just being there matters more than you realize."*

I don't know what to say and i don't know you but there are a lot of people here that you will be able to talk to. And just remember that even in the darkest night, the stars still shine. Best of luck to you. 💙

@jshm2 Educating yourself about mental health is a good thing.
I lived for 25 years without knowing that depression is actually a classified mental illness, where a person loses interest in usual activities and feels guilt…
I didn’t know that. I used to think it was just anxiety or stress — until it actually happened to me.
Hope you find peace 🕊
