Family resentment

I was born in Italy, moved to the uk when i was 3, i habe this resentment and hatred towards my mum and dad for having moved to the uk. I cannot stand England and want to move ro Italy so badly, ive missed 30 odd years in Italy that i will go back to sort

Much as I have issues the UK too, the grass isn't always greener.

Also, having resentment towards your parents for this (at your age) isn't going to help you.

@Burnley123 I think it is natural to have resentment towards your parents for leaving the country to were born in. I would understand it if my kids hated me for that whoch is why i would never do it. And also the reason why i cannot just up and leave and go back

@NeptuneAscending I disagree. I mean, a lot of people (myself included) have spent time blaming parents for fucking them up. After all, their choices do affect your life chances.

However, past a certain age, this just becomes an excuse. Someone who was violently or sexually abused by parents can bear a grudge for life. Otherwise, you need to get over it

Maybe your parents made a mistake but they are humans and they are not supposed to be perfect. You are in your 30s now and have autonomy. Maybe he not perfect autonomy but nobody does.

This bitterness will not help you and has no useful purpose. Tbh, I don't think Italy is that great anyway.
