I would not want my boss to meet my family because they would just embarrass me on purpose. My dad would fart, brother would pick his nose and EAT IT

Then warn them what "might" happen.

That will lessen embracement. At least they know what to expect and can say if they are willing to meet them.

It's sign they really care about you. Not a judgement against you. You really should take it that way.

If they really don't care about you, likely they will be all for it and you really don't want that type of person anyway.
