Divorce truths - facts don't care if you don't like them
For clarity, I've never been married so never been divorced, but I've had two relationships break up in very different ways.
Around 80 percent of divorces are instigated by women and filed in the courts by women, but the men still get blamed as the ones who quit trying. Women are consumate hypergamists and are *always* on the lookout for the next best thing.
Even in a committed relationship, or a marriage, when a man and a woman are supposed to be 'pair bonded' the woman never stops looking at the 'marketplace' of other men (or perhaps other women). Men on the other hand almost never do that.
Men don't need a list of options - they commit 100 percent to making it work, then when it no longer works they pick up the pieces and just move on with their lives and nearly all men who have a realtionship breakup focus on the welfare of their children (if any) ahead of their own wellbeing.
The sickest aspect of this is the concept of 'spousal support' (which does not exist here in Australia) and that just embeds the problem of women wanting to get divorced even deeper.
