20 years down the drain. [I Am Getting a Divorce]

I never thought this would happen. Unfortunately I learned some things I wish I hadn't. Perhaps my best friend was right since the beginning. Maybe if I wasn't so blind the first time we had problems maybe it would not hurt as much. Too many times I turned a blind eye or did not want to believe. What is done has been done. We have not even told our son yet. I don't know what to say.

sorry to here this it sounds like you have learned a hard lesson but to be fair it sounds like you gave it a good shot under strain relationship it is your son real is the real loser but this sounds it is non of your fault and need to move forward @afterlight

@smiler2012 Luckily he is nearing 18 so I am hoping it won't be as hard on him. I'm not going to make him pick and choose between us.

@afterlight which is good being a bit more mature and i think adult enough for him to make up his own mind but lets hope there are no casualties from this and you both get the same love from him after all he has two parents
