I Recently Divorced

I am finding life difficult after divorce, after having traditional male and female roles in my marriage, and being raised the same way, so all my life really.

Now taking care of car maintainence and other things that "he" took care of is a challenge...and that includes emotionally too. I drive a car, and put gas in the tank, and that's my knowledge of cars.

I need windshield wipers, and armed with some research and help from an assistant at a store, I bought a pair that don't fit. Where do I go for someone to replace my wipers without being ripped off? I hear stories about this happening to women who don't know about cars.

Any suggestions please? I just feel so lost with all this stuff that my ex spouse attended to, along with the whole emotional upheaval that comes with divorce in old age.

Cari, I've been divorced for more than 10 years, and I don't have a probblem being single. I know what you're saying about your car, I was a auto tech for along time. And yes some places will take advantage of women and anyone else they can.
There are plenty of sites on the net to help you with simple things like wiper blades and how they go on. You tube is full of how to videos. I'm proud to say we never took advantage of anyone, we didn't need to, we had plenty of business.
