Your Point Versus Your Tone

You may have a point in what you want to say, but if your tone of voice is yelling or anything negative, it won't make a lasting impression on the mind and heart of the person you are teaching. A lot of people these days think that when they are "correcting" someone, especially when the correction is repeated, but their tone is yelling, they think that yelling or shouting at the person and correcting them with the tone of frustration will help the person they are correcting to learn, but what they don't know is that this can make it a lot more challenging for the person they are teaching to learn if they are yelling at the person and then getting angry when they are not listened to? If you want people to listen and learn from you, learn to watch your tone when you speak, don't just focus on what you want to teach them. Teaching with a negative tone won't help someone learn so think about how you deliver your words too!

The timing of this message is great, it is exactly what happened to me earlier today
