I just want to go home

So my buddy is the the final stages of a huge case at work.. once he's done he's going to take a few weeks off work. But today and tomorrow he's working long hard hours to get everything done.

Joel is home with the kids and I'm here with Star.
I've been here almost 2 days straight

I need to go home
I need to hug my kids
I need to check on our oldest daughter she had a panic attack last night
I need to hug joel
I need to shower
I need to shave
I need to change my clothes
I need to eat
I need to sleep
I need to see the stupid cat
I need a cigar
I need a glass of whiskey

But when she looks up at me and says Uncle Jeremy will you please stay until dad gets here, I know it's going to be late
How can I tell her no
