Quick update before I eat dinner

Star was taken to her room and within a few minutes she crashed, bp dropped and they rushed her to surgery. She had internal bleeding that was missed because they were so worried about her head and neck trauma. They had to remove her spleen and half her liver and reinflat her right lung. She is stable now and should be out of surgery in a hour or so. Thank you for all your kind thoughts and prayers. We're in for a long night but I think she's going to be ok.

Aww what a frightening experience. I was rear ended last year but airbag not deployed. I did get chronic whiplash that still hurts a year later. But I feel so badly she had to have surgery..wow. She's very lucky to be stable now.

@Coralmist she was stopped at a red light and a car hit her at 75 miles per hour.

@Cigarguy That is just awful. I hope her recovery is speedy. I still have anxiety driving thinking someone is going to hit me again. She might need an attorney once she begins healing to help her through a Personal injury claim. Did she or anyone at scene get a police report?

@Coralmist the driver was high and was arrested at the scene. He didn't have insurance but we've learned that it wasn't his car. So they are looking for the owner of the car.

And Star's father is a lawyer.
