Would you ask a total stranger to adopt your young daughter?

Years ago I friended a woman from Nigeria on Facebook who was in one of my groups. We only chatted a couple of times over the years.
Well she texted me today out of the blue and asked me if I would adopt her daughter!
I thought at first that she was joking because maybe the girl was being bad and Mom was jokingly saying she was going to put her up for adoption.
But she was serious! She explained that Nigeria was a bad country to live in and she wanted a better life for her daughter. So she was I guess randomly asking people on her friends list who lived in America to adopt her daughter to give her a better life!
I explained to her that America is not that great to live in- high crime rates, huge taxes, expensive, crooked government and bad healthcare system, etc. And that I didn't have the money or room in my home for a child.
All she said was that it had to be better than Nigeria.
Could you give up your daughter under those circumstances to a total stranger online?

She's probably a scammer. However, if she was genuine, she is right about Nigeria being worse than the U.S lol. United States may have problems, but Nigeria has many more with regard to poverty.

I couldn't ever separate from my children though, unless their lives were in immediate danger and it was the only way to save them.
