Father daughter dance

So I'm taking my daughter to our first father daughter dance. I took her to get a new dress, shoes and a necklace. I got her a corsage that matches her dress. Its sky blue. I got her lip gloss and im going to put curls in her hair. Shes so excited.

We gotta eat at Applebee's her choice not mine lol.

My question is what do i wear. Do i wear a suit, get a tux or wear nice jeans with a dress shirt and a sports jacket?

It could be cute to wear outfits that match. If her dress is sky blue, you could wear a white/black tux but wear a sky blue tie.

On the day, get flowers so you could give it to her. Be her first date. It will teach her to pick a man who treats her the same.

I thought about getting a limo but don't think i can afford that and rent a tux.

@Cigarguy101 You know one of the best memory I had with my dad? I was a little girl. It was just a lunch at Kenny Rogers. He let me get both creme brulee and chocolate mousse for dessert. He said to me, "Let me be your date for now. Please don't grow up." I frowned then, because I didn't understand why. Because as a child, I so wanna grow up.
But now I know.

So wear whatever you want. Be yourself, but points if you dress up in something that will make her smile. It doesn't matter how expensive or how cheap your clothes or car is. What she'll remember is that once upon a time, you put effort into making her know that in this world, you're her dad.
