I have been asked a potent question:

How lonely will I be when Chiara is gone either to university or to live with her boyfriend or significant other?

I suppose it is something I should consider as she is twelve and perhaps a little more independent than I was at her age, but really. Did anyone think about this with their children or did it just happen one day and you had to absorb it all afterwards?

Hopefully she isn’t too eager to be moving in with her boyfriend.

You may have some time. One of my girls were out of the house at 19, the other 20.

She's only 12. You have 6 to 7 years to even think about that.

Don't rush it!

Once they hit 18 all we can do is have input, ultimately it's up tp them.
