Once you’re older, and your children are grown

You enjoy the quiet peaceful days. And grandchildren when they come over, you get The grand children enjoy them and send them home. But in my case the grandchildren live with us. Makes me not wanna do anything. I don’t want to do fun stuff or anything.

four are a lot. Try to take them outside if possible, they can use their energy there, be happy and you are more spacious. Things l am thinking life fishing, picnic where you can sip a coffee and they can run around...

It is intense to have that vibrant energy around you daily.

Take intervals with your wife, so each will get few hours per day in peace, if the space permits it.

If your income make it possible, you could even hire some person to do creative time with them, few times per week.

Try to engage them in activities using their hands like baking, chopping wood, caring for plants. That makes them more peaceful.

If possible, you could even create a game room in the house, or some space outdoors and make it interesting so they hang out there.

These are few of my ideas, I don't know what else...
Try to enjoy this time with them... it's not going to be "cool" to want to hang out with grandpa forever - then what will you have to bond with them over???

Why not? Wouldn't it make you feel better?
Jonjdw · 51-55, M
@Amy2005 no because once you get done working and doing everything else you have to do. I just want to have peace and quiet.

Soon they'll be old enough to use a phone and then wont want to do anything anyway.

@Thevy29 one is but still needs things done.
Adults who had help acting like helping the next generation is some huge burden.

Sorry your geriatric life isn’t the amazing dream you envisioned for yourself.
