Oatmeal, still a thing?

Weird question, my mom and I were discussing this, I have no idea why. Do kids still eat oatmeal? You know, the Quaker instant oatmeal in many different flavors? Or maybe good old-fashioned oatmeal?
If they do, is it regional? In other countries other than US?
I have a collection of microwavable bowls that my grandmother got by saving Quaker oatmeal labels or something. We use them almost daily for heating food in the microwave. They are color-changing with hot or cold food.
Just curious, as my son is grown and flown and never liked oatmeal anyway.

Can't speak for the youngsters, but I eat this maybe once a week for breakfast. We call it 'porridge', 'porage' or simply 'oats'. You can get it in most places here. Most people eat theirs with fruit, sugar, honey etc but my mother used to put salt on hers!

I can't say I've ever had the 'different flavours'.
