I know of a family who had their daughter, 15 yo, taken by DCF because she complained to someone at school that she was being abused. The fact is that they wanted her to do chores like cleaning, doing the dishes, etc. She was put in a foster home and ended up getting pregnant by the foster father. The investigation later proved that she wa not being abused by her parents.
I have met one woman who lost custody of her child. She seemed pretty normal, she was a schemer but not unusual in women in general. She tells the story of how unfair it was but I suspect she tried to pull a fast one thinking he wouldn't take his child and it backfired. I can tell a few stories of kids whose lives would've been much better off if the father had primary custody at least 3 off the top of my head.
Liberal judges and lawyers that think men make better care takers of the children and they just do want to be different despite mothers being the best for the kids.
