Pants/briefs or boxers to 9 and 13 year old boys?

I don’t know whether I’m just being over protective but do boys still wear briefs/pants at 13? I have 2 sons age 9 and 13, I took them both clothes shopping and asked them to pick some new underwear up, they both picked the same briefs as in the picture, I don’t mind them wearing whatever they want to but don’t want my 13 year old bullied in school for still wearing briefs. Do boys still wear briefs at that age?
