@kleinemaus That emoji does not depict your feelings. I do not believe you feel unhappy.
kleinemaus · 36-40, F

There are different laws about this depending where you live. Personally. I would never do that.

I had a sitter at 16 even after that my father did not like me on my own in the house.

most states say 12 is good age for girls to start babysitting. if they can babysit they can babysit themselves

I wouldnt have left my kids over night before they were 16. In fact im sure i didnt. I went out for the evening when they were 14 with no sitter,but not overnight.
InstructHer · 61-69, M
Certainly not before 16. I preferred if necessary that she stayed with her grandparents even after that.
helenS · 36-40, F
@InstructHer Fully agree with you.

I was allowed to be alone at around 12. I survived. 🤔

@Camilla2008 done 👍

It really all depends on the girl. Some people are responsible at 14 or 15, while others are irresponsible at 30.
Are you trying to decide if you should leave your daughter alone overnight?

@Camilla2008 You sound pretty responsible to me. I think it would be okay to leave you alone for short periods of time, but probably not for an entire evening.
anderst · 46-50, M
My Mother and big Sister don´t like it when i am alone at home when they gone over night. But i am still allowed to be alone at home and happy about it :)

Depends where you live, kind of neighborhood. Is there some one you can call in an emergency, or some where you can go? I was home alone often even in middle school.But we lived in a quiet neighborhood and I had people I could call upon if I really needed to. I'd say 13 if you have an emergency plan.
spikem · M
It would depend on how mature she was more than her age
tindrummer · M
18 after high school but also depends on maturity

Actually depends on the child. but here if you are 12 the state thinks you are old enough to babysit. if you can babysit why cant you babysit yourself?
Rhode57 · 56-60, M
Never alone , I would rather she had company even if its just a friend .
Mynudi · M
16 should be a fairly responsible age.
Bjoern1997 · 26-30, M
Depends on the girl. Like could i trust her enaugh to let her alone that long without making trouble. Like i know here they would maybe nake a big Party out of it lol. 😅🤔
