Woke up in the middle of the night and visited my baby

We’re staying over at my sister’s house and my sister always looks after Lucas while my man and I are there, even at nights. I know my sister always takes good care of him, but I just can’t help but get a little restless when I’m apart from my son for long. I woke up and couldn’t get back to sleep because I couldn’t stop thinking about Lucas. I got out of bed and went down to the nursery downstairs to check on him. He was actually awake just laying in his crib. I talked with him for a bit while caressing him, he was just looking up at me with sleepy eyes the whole time. He eventually went back to sleep and I went back to bed after a while myself. I’m glad I got to keep my baby company while he was awake in the middle of the night so he wasn’t alone. I’m sure that’s just what he needed. He does good with his auntie taking care of him, but after a while, you can tell he wants his momma. 🥺🤗
