It’s incredible how some things come naturally even to newborns

My sister was holding my baby Lucas and was showing me the various natural reflexes infants have. For example, she held Lucas by his underarms and dragged his feet along a surface and he started moving his legs forward one after the other — the walking reflex. She was also gently squeezing Lucas’ palm and every time she did, he gripped her thumb — the grabbing reflex. She didn’t show me this one, but she also said when an infant is startled by a swift movement, they’ll toss their head back and extend their limbs — it’s called the Moro reflex. Said she her second daughter would even do that while she was sleeping. I never knew any of this! It’s just amazing how humans just naturally know things from the moment we’re born.
