Gave birth to my daughter yesterday
8lbs 13oz (4kilos)
3 days late.
On my due date i had a membrane sweep that essentially is when a doctor or midwife uses their fingers to sweep the cervix and start labour
The next day my waters broke. Went into hospital where they said it was not my waters and sent me home
2 days later i return to the hospital with non stop leaking of waters in which case they confirmed my waters had gone
They induced me that night because since my waters were ruptured over 24 hours me and baby were at risk of infection
Doctor strongly recommended i go on an epidural because he said my contractions will be worse than normal due to the drip the were going to start on me. So i can birth the baby much quicker.
Had the epidural and still felt every contraction. 12 hours of labour and 30 minutes of pushing later and my daughter was born. No stitches yay.
No infections either.
Thanks for all the support ive had during my pregnancy. I was reluctant to talk about my pregnancy on SW but its literally been nothing but support and love.
