Yes I am and I've done my DNA for 23andMe, MyHeritage, and now waiting on Ancestry's results. :)

I hope you can find anything you want to know about your birth mom or dad. My "perfect" (for me) world was shattered that Sunday night from some stranger I'd never met. She is five years old than I am. Where was she all this time, if she was who she thought she was? My mother had died three years before, but my dad was still alive - he was in the same room when I took the call.

I hope your experience was better than my shock. I have the feeling that the woman who called was the daughter of my mom's best friend. I never met her, but she mentioned her occasionally - "Lori" this, or "Lori" that. She died after my mother did, and sent us a Christmas card the winter before, asking my mom why she didn't "talk to her anymore". My mom was already buried in St. Joseph's Cemetery at least a year before that!

Oh wow! My birth mother is still living and my half sister along with most of their family. I have no clue about my birth dad

According to the paperwork this other woman sent me, the woman claiming to be Mom's daughter told the officials her "birth father" worked in a riding stable in Wisconsin and "was not involved in" her upbringing. Dad told me he knew that statement made her claims a lie because Mom never went to Wisconsin before he married her. Grandma (Mom's mother) was still alive and she confirmed this.

I'm sorry about your birth father, but am glad that you have found a few blood relatives and have a good relationship with them. Merry Christmas!
