My 2 youngest sister once told me they grew up feeling I was more of a parent than our mom and their dad ever were.
They're 14 and 16 years younger than me, and I was the one to get up to comfort them at night, feed them, change their diapers, and take them out for a walk or to play. I was even forced to stay at home sometimes to look after my sisters when they were toddlers.
I'll never be a parent myself, but I have a good idea of what it's like being the responsible one of kids.
