First I'd like to say I'm sorry it happened to you.
I grew up with negativity from harsh verbal abuse, yet I understood thart my dad had PTSD from the war, so I just accepted it and in my heart forgave him for his wrongs.
In his last years we became good friends, everyone else shunned him including family.
You see instead of holding on to all that pain I looked on the positive side of things and remembered the good times we did spend together.
Our job is to take the good things our parents taught us making sure we don't repeat the negative ones shown or done to us.
In that way we break the Chains that bind us.

@sahi81 Yes, because he was trying to forget being a P.O.W. He was in severe depression, so he took strong prescription medication, and when that wasn't enough, he drank heavily and to add to that he was a pugilist always violent wanting to fight anyone.
The sad part about it is no one took the time to understand him and why he was so angry.

@Blondily She is sacrificial of her money, even her health insurence money for my education but she just can't treat me good for some reason. She acts like she is doing it out of her past pains/traumas, unrealistic expectations of me and hate,fear,jealousy, etc, like dumping them on me. I feel she hates me.
