My cousin broke into our place, and I called the cops and somehow I’m the bad guy.

I’ve tried to be nice, understanding, accommodating, hopeful that he’ll change but that just keeps him thinking it’s okay to continue his stupid lifestyle.

We were nice enough to let him stay with us a few months until he got back on his feet and he never saved anything, he just slept around, did drugs and lost his job while making a mess in our home.

My mom wasn’t liking it but was too nice to be direct with him so she lied and said that our rent man was suspicious of him living there and would kick us out if he continued to be seen around lol.

But he still kept coming around to shower, and then he’d find some random homeless bitch with a child and try to have them shower at our place too, even tho he has his own kids he should be caring for and this is just another passing fling.

I told him to stop coming around, that nobody wants him around and that he always needs help. Always. He’s always in the most ridiculous situations and always needs to be saved.

And now me and my mother got into the biggest fight over how she pretends to be okay with him coming around only to hate the things he does when he’s here.

This is the first time I raised my voice at her and didn’t feel bad about it. I’m just so sick.

And who knows what my aunt thinks about me now. She probably thinks I have it out for her son.

Lady, I can’t, I’m tired of being his crutch. And I’m tired of everyone dancing around the situation

Call me the whistleblower for unhealthy family dynamics.

Let’s just get it over with. Hell, Since I’m already here. We can address everything.

I wonder if I would have gotten the same grace at 32, homeless, having a decent job but deciding not to go, having my own place and getting kicked out for having raging orgies, being given a helping hand only to overstay my welcome and disrespect the household.

No, I think I would have been called pathetic.

Wow it’s getting late, I really needed to vent about this. Thanks SW!

Sounds just like my cousin omg. You did the right thing. Coddling people is more harmful than introducing them to the natural consequences of their behavior.

@Selah no way you have a cousin like this…

I’m worried about my mom when I’m not around. The stuff she allows is absurd

sounds like you were right to call the cops
