The moment you realised you were old?

While playing a game of keep away/tag around a jungle gym playground my 12- year old granddaughter ran me down. I thought I was running.................she caught me with EASE! I was picking them up and putting them down, but evidently in slow motion. 🥴

Young people started offering me a seat on the bus.

When I started having to get cortisone shots in my KNEES.

I feel a sense of joy, known as JOMO (joy of missing out) when plans get canceled

i don't consider myself old just older like the babies and toddlers i used to carry around are getting married and have children of their own already

When I had to pee and I turtle headed

when i tried to stand up from sitting and my back wouldnt cooperate for a second. (some kind of weird pain on one side)

Well, not old but aging: im much slower climbing a mountain. Not good at tennis anymore. And scared of falling with skis.

When I started giving "That look" and the eye roll to things young people say. Lol

That noise my knees makes

I got my first pair of bifocal transition glasses last year and am VERY grey on top

Being more excited about "old people things" like knitting, canning, baking than ever

Understanding why my mom used to call so much of the stuff we used to like "Baby Candy" lol totally get it now.

My excitement over Columbo, Murder, She Wrote, old Matlock reruns and, In the Heat of the Night bc it legit reminds me of my childhood in a comforting way.

Old is a mindset.

I think I have grown old watching the world deteriorate into strange new world that tells you you must belong to a certain box and forbids you to think
