My parents are delayed by the effects of Etna on Catania

My father phoned and said he has arranged to be flown out of Sicily by a ministry flight to combat the delays caused by other flights having to be rerouted from Catania because of Etna. The volcano is extremely volatile and lava flows from several places on the mountain.

They will be home in the next few hours. He has never pulled the ministry card before but there are meetings he is supposed to attend.
