question for parents with teenagers.....

when your kids are out and about do you constantly text them what they are up to and where they are at? do you text them "when are you coming home...it's getting late" or even worse....do you phone them asking them the same? boy am i glad cell phones weren't around when i was a kid.

Nah, I've got a 13 year old and she's about to be 14, and my son's 19. I've got complete trust in both of them. Now when my daughter starts high school next year, that might be a different story. Might have to do a little surveillance on her, know what I mean? If some dude gets a little to frisky with her, might have to crack some skulls, lol. Or, just have her brother do it for me.

@SleepingWithGhosts well the son is an adult and can do whatever he wants, but yeah i would worry about a younger daughter or son if they grew up in anyway how i did. i was pretty good at hiding stuff from my parents though

No. I usually know where she is. And she can call me if she ever needs anything. She's only 13 so she has a curfew and knows when to be home.

Never. But I don't text. But we raised the kid to let us know where he was, and he still does that even today when he's in his 30s to let me know when he's coming home -- and to check on me, to be honest. I thionk her worries about me at my age and with my health problems.
