Well, it seems that mankind has encroached on their natural range. That happens here, too. We often see deer and foxes and racoons, coyotes, and even, in western Massachusetts, black bears in our back yards.

But it's true that WE never see kangaroos...and if we did, we would perhaps wonder if we had too much to drink!!!

First time I have ever seen the claws of a kangaroo! I didn't even know they HAD them!!! I've heard of kangaroos boxing, however.

They look cute but I don't know how I'd feel seeing one in my neighborhood. Are they friendly?
Justmeraeagain · 56-60, F
I've only seen kangaroos in the zoo.

There have been a couple that were seen in Oklahoma, think someone had some runaways. There used to be a small zoo out by the lake and about a decade it was shut down and they found homes for the all the animals, either to zoos that wanted them or individuals. They can probably escape a lot easier from individuals. Look at those claws, those are diggers

Nope. I just seen them in a zoo.

No, but I *have* seen one of these: https://mymodernmet.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/harpy-eagle-thumbnail.jpg (the right side image is for size comparison, but bear in mind the forced perspective impact on size). Their talons are longer than the claws of a grizzly bear, and they're larger than golden eagles, which are sometimes used to hunt roe deer. Deer, which are essentially kangaroos who haven't been to prison yet.

As a note, I'll add that eagles are found on every continent except Australia- because that's where the kangaroos went to hide.
