Am I the only one that would stay with my mother at the hospital

I just got a call from my sister asking if I can pick her up at the hospital because her daughter dropped her off there when she was complaining of discomfort told her to find a ride home she has to work in the morning. Maybe I'm just from a different time. Never in my life that I drop my mom off and just leave
