I just needed to write this

My mum has been sick for like a little over a year. We have been managing at home okay. Things got normal for a while …I even forgot at time .Yesterday, her breathing got so bad that she had to be taken to hospital. My dad and I followed the ambulance. It was the quietest car ride ever.We finally got to see her lin the afternoon. She is so pale, she breath with a machine, and she is asleep. Seeing her like that is just a big shock .I don’t really know why I’m writing this . need to put words to things, I guess. It helps a little. Dad hasn't said a word to me since last night.

I was with my mother when the doctors told her she had cancer. The last few months of her life i lived at her home and looked after her. My wife is a nurse so she helped shower and dress her. Mum was strong right up till the end. If you want to talk just PM me
It's a horrible situation to be in. How it feels is how it's supposed to feel, whatever that may be. Don't expect to feel a particular way. These things move organically and you will experience it as it comes. It can be deeply unsettling to see your loved ones so unwell and there are even more levels to that when it's a parent or a child. Make sure that you don't forget to look after yourself. Don't neglect yourself too much because you will need strength to be there for your family. Wishing you the very best.
