Have you ever visited an old jail

Alcatraz and Robben Island. Nelson Mandela was imprisoned there for 18 of the 27 years he served behind bars before the fall of apartheid.

I saw one in an old ghost town. It was attached to the back of their court house.

Fremantle Prison in Western Australia. We went on the tour that went underground to the water reserve. Which we explored in canoes. They turned the lights off. My Niece screamed. It was pitch black. When the lights came back on somehow we had passed 2 other canoes in front of us in the narrow tunnels.

i worked in a few prisons that were older than the dirt. had a permanent aroma of dirty feet and piss.

Sure. I visited one years ago when I was arrested for drunk driving. Didn't care for it much, except for all the stolen cigs I received from everyone who walked passed the plate glass window with the hole in the holding cell. Of course, the cigs were confiscated by cops. Because I would light them up. Man. Cops hate smoking. lol😮

I did visit the Old Jail in St. Augustine, FL. I even saw an actual electric chair. The jail is supposed to be haunted.
