Ok, I might believe in an afterlife now… 🤔
So today is the third anniversary of dad’s passing…tomorrow is his birthday. I’ve been talking to him today…”I miss you” “wish you were still here”…that sort of thing.
Well after work I started watering my lawn as I’m still getting some of the sprouts established. After getting just the first couple square yards watered, the hose burst…it’s a no-kink expanding hose, and anything that expands and contracts in daily use is going to eventually give out, and today was just its day. Ordered a new hose on amazon, but it won’t be here until Saturday. It’s hot right now, and as I said, some of the sprouts are still coming in so three days without water might kill them.
So I started studying the hose, and noticed it had a hex shape interior that looked like how it was assembled. So I started looking though my tools…mostly my own stuff, but a fair amount inherited from dad. As I’m looking through it all, I asked dad for some help in finding what I needed. As soon as I said that, I almost immediately found a random assortment of tools that worked to disassemble and work on the hose, eventually getting it all put back together and working again, albeit about 12 feet shorter than it used to be.
Gardening was a favorite pastime of dad’s, and home repairs were a thing dad enjoyed doing, like a puzzle to be solved. I really think he was here with me today for this one.👻
