Province life starting to suck.
I think I already posted about my family's side here in the province before.
Basically, we moved here 2 months ago, and at that time, they welcomed us with open arms.
But now in the present, they resent us so much.
Basically, when we started living here, we started using our own stuff.
First, our land. Before, they were using our land freely, using it to hang clothes, growing plants, and using it as a parking lot. Now that we are here, they can't do that anymore. First, we roofed our land and used it as a parking space. The land isn't really that big, just a little open backyard, so now that it's roofed, they can't dry their clothes there anymore or plant stuff. We left a little space for our own plants, but of course, they can't plant there either since we're using it for our plants.
I think the second issue is with my aunt, the motorcycle taxi issue. Basically, my father bought that and let them use it for two reasons, for my aunt to have an income, and for them to give money to my grandmother. When we got here, we discovered they weren't giving anything to my grandmother, they were just using the motorcycle as a taxi and for personal use, but keeping all the money. We told them that if they weren't going to give money, we wanted the motorcycle back. They didn't want to, so they started "giving." Basically, they would give sometimes, then not give, then give. I think they are testing our limits, and when we call them out, they just get angry back.
I think another reason is our house. We have a house here, but we didn't live in it before. But now that we're here, we're using it. Before, they were free to use it, they lived here for free and just used it however they wanted. Now, of course, they can't do that anymore. I think another issue is that we are calling them out, but they are angry because the only person they have a blood relationship with is my father, who is working abroad. They are angry because the kids and the in-law are calling them out, and in their eyes, they are on their own land, so how dare outsiders call them out?
It's starting to really suck. They are always backbiting us. They also sometimes do small, malicious things like throwing trash on our side or blocking our way out. It kinda sucks because we live in a compound, meaning it's not like we can just ignore them since we're always near each other. I miss my city family even tho they always ask us money and not payback but there's no drama like this.
