Dad not the same

My dad was basically torture to live with. I wanted my mom to divorce him so bad. They say kids hate divorce bro I was hoping every day. I hated him. He would hit me and my brothers and her too. He’s not the same person now though and it’s hard to be mean to him I guess. It feels weird though.
