My step son is glad I am in his life

My step son is glad I am in his life and have been since he was 5 years old. His dad left him and my wife when he was 5 years old. Learned his dad was in and out of his life and knew he needed a fatherlike figure in his life. I decided to step up and my wife is proud of me of this to this day. Started to get involved in his life after she introduced him to me when we started dating. He was a little shy at first and learned I was not a bad person. Started doing things with him and a bond started after that. I also taught him right from wrong, one was respect his mom. Those lessons I taught him made him a man whom is 28 now. My wife noticed positive changes with him too, he had no self confidence and his self esteem was bad before I came into his life. All that came right back. Now works for me doing tows and fixing the tow trucks. Married to a great wife of 4 years with a year old daughter and 3 year old son. He does treat his wife right learning from me passing it on after my dad taught me this
