I got a DNA report as a gift. The results are bizzare.

55% Anglo Saxon, 30% Norse, 10% East Turkic, 5% North African.

Apparently I’m mostly north west European with a spicy bit of the east. Blues, dark hair. Advanced sarcasm.

What a fun story it would make.

I've decided to pass on those ancestry tests. Insurance companies WILL eventually access those samples and use them in their underwriting. They won't care ancestral backgrounds. Those genes for diabetes, cancer etc are what they want. I'm not doing that to my grandchildren.
