"Who died and left you boss?!"

What other exclamations or scoldings did your parents use all the time that you swore you'd never utter to one of your kids?

"I'll smack you so hard that you won't be able to sit down for a week".

They never did and had no intention of doing so.

But the idea stopped us being little twats for a while.

It's not a family tradition that has continued...
@Thodsis

I'm glad you guys were smacked around. I wasn't either but I sure deserved it at times... and I never hit my 2 stepkids.

EDIT - -- it should be NOT smacked around.

@rinkydinkydoink I'm hoping that there was a 'not' that you missed in the first sentence.

It's a bit harsh otherwise. ;)
@Thodsis

I'm sorry! I'm listening to Oistrakh on YouTube while watching 2 things at once on tv - a takedown of Trump on MS NOW and Canada Vs U.S baseball... I meant to use the 'not'.

@rinkydinkydoink I'm obviously only joking.

Donald can be very distracting. As is a game of bat and ball...
@Thodsis

Yeah, I know. You're a pretty good word game player.

There are con men and then there is Donald - the most transparent con man ever YET he gets away with it and has for decades. You have to admire that...

@rinkydinkydoink Bloody hell!

I'd forgotten about that one. :)
@Thodsis

I may have been using a different name a couple of years ago but I played Johnny Spot's long-time word game and you played there, too, along with FrogMan, ThinkerBell and a few other mainstays.... we very nearly had our own game but it didn't get much support.
@Thodsis

RenFur... that was my old name when you started this game -
