Tell me about the furthest ancestor you remember meeting.

I met my great-grandfather once when I was 5 or 6 years old — he was around 80 at that time. Who did you meet? What do you remember about them?

All four grandparents. Family history is my hobby, so I regret that I didn't meet anyone beyond their generation. They were all good people. They lived through hard times, but never lost their zest for life. One grandfather was a tobacco farmer and the other was a lumber man. One grandmother was a great hugger, and the other did do much touching, but showed her love with her smile.
