This is where you start removing them...

Your first cousin’s grandchild is your first cousin, twice removed. The "twice removed" means they are two generations away from you.

@HootyTheNightOwl Something like that happened between me and this fella I was looking after (I'm in aged care) He was 30 years older then me. But somehow, his mother claimed he had to call me 'Uncle.' It never made sense to me.

@Thevy29 Lol, my mother had me calling her cousins uncle and aunt... even though they are my first cousin once removed.
