This scared me what happened??

Very scary my 2 daughters went to bed hours ago
I'm up late so i heard noise in the hallway
so basically the 14 year old just came in the sitting room then she asked me where her sister was
Basically my heart sunk and I ran to the room to find she is in bed sleeping!

While i was processing everything
let me tell you my heart was raising and i literally
panicked and the hall way seemed so long and it's only a few steps away and it came to mind that for a second that maybe my daughter left
In a moment of panick not remembering that she is a few steps away and that I'm sitting in the living room near the door
I even went a second time to check to see
if she is really there even knowing she was 🥺
I'm still shaken !
This never happened before and she certainly was not joking she seemed confused
I hugged her and told her she is safe and loved and her sister is in bed
She didn't seem to be aware what happened anf she was even looking confused
So I tugged her in and gave her a hug

What do you think happened???

14 year had a dream and You panicked. I kno I woulda panicked too the thing is, I think negatively.

A positive thinking person would think "Okay, let's check it out first." I get worried about driving on Roundabouts worrying crashing into someone. Worried about that person I see in my line of sight will grab my cash n run at ATMs. My Counsellor is helping me becoming negative to positive outta all things. She's helped me A LOT.

@Sazzio thank you maybe she can get therapy to help with this
I have to wait until the morning to see how she is feeling

@SeekingAdvice45 Why therapy? She had a dream and either sleep-walked out to you or came out to you sleepily confused.

Pretty normal behaviour.

She was sleepwalking and confused. It happens sometimes. Mention it to your pediatrician but don’t worry!!

Quite possibly your 14 year old was sleep walking if she was confused.

Yet that's a little old for it.

I stopped sleepwalking at around 7.

Despite it being fleeting, it would have been scary.
Hope you and your daughter are good

@nowic2 Thank you for your kind message
We are okay i hope this never happens again. Maybe she is a sleep walker
nowic2 · 61-69, M
@SeekingAdvice45 I’m sure you will be keeping a close eye on her for a while now. All the best
WandererTony · 56-60, M
Maybe she had a bad dream. Keep her close to you for the rest of the night. Sleep next to her.

The morning lights will wash away all fears.

@WandererTony Thank you i will do that it's late for me now. Just little shaken but i have to be strong for her
Strictmichael75 · 61-69, M

SeekingAdvice45 · 41-45, FNew

SeekingAdvice45 · 41-45, FNew
@Strictmichael75 i will definitely keep an eye

Sleep walking
GinPanda · 26-30, F
she likely dreamed she was gone and did not realize she had been sleeping, other options are less likely love
SeekingAdvice45 · 41-45, FNew
@GinPanda thank you i will have to do research on sleep walking this is her first time hope it's the last 🥺
GinPanda · 26-30, F
