Do you have family heirlooms?
We had some very important heirlooms from the centuries our family had lived in our village, but all was destroyed by the Russian shell that destroyed my home 🏡.

There ARE loads of them, but they are not in my possession. My grandmother gave the coolest of the things from England to my cousins on my Uncle's side of the family...and my brother took what was left.
I DID ask if I could have a memento of our family to keep, and I was given a chipped pickle crock that was brought here on the sea voyage from England by my grandmother's side of the family, and a handmade basket, made by the first Sheriff of a small town in Iowa, who was one of our ancestors on her side of the family, also. It had been heavily painted with gun metal gray oil based paint...so it was ruined.
