Am i wrong?

So my sister's boyfriend is selling a small mobile home. He asked me if i wanted it and he would take payments. The landlord interviewed me and said all was great but then the next morning told me i cant live there because i know someone with a dog and no dogs are allowed in the park. I told him their dog has never been at my current apartment because i have a cat. He still wouldn't budge. So i said whatever and moved on.

A month later my sister calls and says good news he says you can have the trailer! I told her i dont trust the landlord and im not giving up my apartment because im afraid the landlord will burn me again. That he will just find reasons to write me up and evict me. The boyfriend already told me how the landlord finds things to nitpick about.

So now my sister and boyfriend are mad at me. Was i wrong not to take their offer?

I think your decision was quite reasonable.

And I think your sister and her bf should be mad at the landlord rather than at you.

@DrWatson a month ago she told me God has his reasons why I did not get the trailer today She tells me she stuck her neck out for me and I brushed her off.

It sounds as if you made it clear that your negative reaction was to the landlord and not to her.

That sounds like an odd reaction on her part.

I have to agree with @ScreamingFox and wonder whether there is more to the story than she is letting on.

@DrWatson i know that part of it is that it has to be out of his name by the end of the month. They said if I don't buy it from them they will have to give it away. But he did tell me at this point he would just give it to me.
