Grandparents, would you say you feel as if your role as a parent didn't end just because your kid had kids of their own?

Or how should I put this, do you feel more loyal to your child than to your grandchildren?

My kid sees it as someone who they can go to when I say no.

My mum became more of the parent I needed when I had a child.
