Grandparents, would you say you feel as if your role as a parent didn't end just because your kid had kids of their own?

Or how should I put this, do you feel more loyal to your child than to your grandchildren?

To be fair, Im not a grand mother, but im in no race, nor am overly keen to become one.
(Not that i would mind)

Ive done my time caring for everyone else.
