Part one of my childhood

I'll take a min and talk about what my childhood was like. My parent's never got married and I was the only child. The earliest I can remember was when I was 4 year's old. My dad lost his job and he started to drink. I can remember them arguing and the neighbors had called the police.

I can remember when my mom finally had enough of my dad and she kicked him out of the house. He had a old van and a bed in it and he lived in it like Frank did in the TV show shamless. He even broke into the house and took stuff all the time. I know my mom found her jewelry at the pawn store where my dad sold it for money for alcohol. But I remember a few time's my mom had no money for day care for me. So she left me at home at around 4 year's old.

She just told me to stay in the house and not to open the door for anyone. She did leave me food for lunch and a snack for around 3 or 4 when I watch cartoons. U would think going to school would be better for me. Well u would be wrong. I had a real hard time making friend's. When I did make a friend they made her take a different bus for some odd reason. I use to eat my lunch and took a book to school so I had something

Yours was marginally better than mine. Much physical and mental abuse accompanied my younger years. I was the designated Black Sheep of the family. Once my parents divorced it got a LITTLE better....for awhile. When I got too big for my mother to smack around, she'd just cuss me out over anything real or imagined. I left home at 18 and never went back again. Both of them are long gone now and I couldn't be happier. I was just pissed that I had to wait 67 years at the time for the first one to kick the bucket. My only complaint now is that they didn't bury either of them deep enough!

Sad upbringings are more common than we know.
Sorry you went through that.

That was a difficult life.

Is that why you use all the extra PARENTheses, ie “my parent’s” and “4 year’s old?”
